Nestled in serene, lush green surroundings, our institution has always cherished the beauty and tranquility that nature provides. The fresh air we breathe and the cozy learning environment we enjoy today are gifts made possible by those who once saw the need to plant and protect trees.
To honor this legacy and mark Mazingira Day (Environmental Day) in Kenya, we joined hands with a remarkable group — the Boda Boda Green Movement Association, a team of motorcycle riders committed to environmental conservation.
Planting Seeds of Change
The day began right here at the school, where staff and students came together in unity and purpose to plant trees within the campus. A total of 20 seedlings were planted — each one symbolizing growth, renewal, and our shared responsibility toward the planet.

Community Partnership in Action
From the school, the team proceeded to the Kenya Red Cross Association, where the main event was taking place. The atmosphere buzzed with energy as we met members of the association and other partners — including ROCKY, Posta, and Safaricom — all gathered with a common goal: to make Kenya greener.
After a warm welcome and orientation by the association chairman, participants were guided to the designated areas to begin the tree-planting exercise. Our school proudly sponsored the event with over 80 seedlings and 50 branded reflector jackets, underscoring our commitment to sustainable community initiatives.

Walking, Planting, and Connecting
It was a truly fulfilling experience — walking along the streets, planting trees, and connecting with like-minded individuals and organizations passionate about protecting the environment. Beyond the planting, the event became a networking platform, allowing partners to share about their work and explore potential collaborations for future projects.
Words that Inspire
The day concluded with a joint reflection session back at the Red Cross Center. There were inspiring speeches from leaders of the participating organizations, including a powerful message from our own Mr. Augustine, who highlighted the school’s academic programs and extended an open invitation to those interested in pursuing studies in Nursing, Health, Social, and Applied Sciences.

Looking Ahead
The Mazingira Day celebration was not just an event — it was a reminder of our duty to care for our planet and a call to continue taking action, no matter how small. We look forward to engaging in more of such activities that nurture both the environment and our community.
Together, we are growing a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
