CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

Welcome to the frontline of compassionate healthcare!

At Nakuru College of Health Sciences and Management, we are proud to offer a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Patient Care Attendant Program designed to prepare students for one of the most vital roles in the healthcare system. CNAs and Patient Care Attendants work closely with patients and healthcare teams, providing essential support that ensures comfort, dignity, and quality care.

Our program equips learners with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to deliver basic nursing care, daily living assistance, infection control, patient mobility support, and effective communication in diverse healthcare settings. With a strong focus on professionalism and empathy, students are trained to become confident caregivers who can respond effectively to the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.

Why Choose Our CNA/Patient Care Attendant Program?

  1. Comprehensive Curriculum: Covering anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, basic nursing procedures, infection prevention, nutrition, and patient communication.
  2. Hands-On Clinical Training: Students gain practical experience through hospital rotations, clinical attachments, and supervised practice in real-world healthcare environments.
  3. Mentorship and Support: Learners benefit from personalized guidance and mentorship from experienced instructors who are committed to shaping competent and compassionate caregivers.
  4. Diverse Career Opportunities: Graduates are prepared for careers in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, home care, community health programs, and NGOs, or as a foundation for advancing into nursing and other healthcare professions.

Whether you aspire to work at the bedside, support patients in recovery, or pursue higher education in healthcare, our CNA/Patient Care Attendant Program provides the skills, compassion, and confidence you need to make a lasting impact on patients and their families.
