HOMEBASED CARE
Welcome to the heart of compassionate home care!
At Nakuru College of Health Sciences and Management, we are proud to offer a Home-Based Care Program tailored to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values required to provide quality care within home and community settings. This program recognizes the growing demand for skilled caregivers who can deliver personalized support to individuals who are elderly, chronically ill, living with disabilities, or recovering from illness in the comfort of their homes.
Our program trains learners to provide assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility support, basic health monitoring, and companionship, while upholding dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity. Students also gain practical training in infection prevention, first aid, and effective communication to ensure safe and holistic care.
Why Choose Our Home-Based Care Program?

- Comprehensive Curriculum: The program covers essential topics such as basic nursing care, first aid, nutrition, communication, emotional support, and end-of-life care.
- Hands-On Training: Through supervised practice and community attachments, students gain real-world caregiving experience that builds confidence and professional competence.
